May is a wonderful month!! Throughout the world - on either hemisphere - May is a month of renewal and a month of excitement! In fact, in some parts of Australia, May 8th is labor day! But somehow, thoughts seem to travel to Mother's Day. A time for brunch, lunch and an opportunity for quality time with the Mothers in our lives.
While on the surface it may seem like a commercial holiday, in truth it's a wonderful day to focus on Mothers...any kind - a mother by choice, a step-mother, a grandmother, an aunt...I've always believed that if you take care of someone else, you are a mother!!! My mom certainly fits that bill! Not only did she take care of us growing up, she also helped looked after kids in the neighborhood!
